Very often, a new IQ or personality test might be compared with an older but similar test known to have
good validity already.
The coping questionnaire
exhibited good validity with respect to differences in age, gender, occupation and ethnicity.
The Chinese versions of both instruments were validated in a Chinese adolescent population
