I'm honestly beginning to wonder if I'll see a
good videogame - to - film
adaptation in my lifetime.
Relative to other
videogame - to - screen
adaptation, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time might be one of the
best yet — not that is has much to compete with in this genre.

videogame movies can be pretty entertaining for what they are, and after suffering through so many bad
adaptations we learned there's a clear divide between the
good and the bad.
You were among the pioneers of shitty, shitty licensed
videogame adaptations, and it's
good to see that you're keeping the tradition alive
well after its prime.
When the
best videogame movie
adaptation is Silent Hill or Resident Evil you begin to wonder what the heck's going on, especially when compared to dire movies such as Doom, Far Cry, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Hitman, Max Payne or, er, Tomb Raider.
However, David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake and writer of the original (and
best) X-Men movie, believes that the
videogame movie genre can learn from comic book
adaptations.
But alas, the series has proven to be one of the most financially successful
videogame movie franchises to date and has undoubtedly led to increased interest in game
adaptations, for
better of for worse.
There's no indication as to when we can expect to press play on this, but do you believe Connolly is a
good choice to finally get the
