a good wheat bread recipe for a white bread lover like me can be difficult, but this recipe is soft and slightly sweet from the honey, with all the benefits of wheat bread.

I tried it once before with 50 % white whole
wheat and it was great (this is such a flexible
recipe), but today I used 50 % regular whole
wheat, 25 %
bread flour, 25 % all - purpose, and a spoonful of vital
wheat gluten for
good luck (who knows if that did anything) and the texture was RIGHT ON.
So, I have a
recipe for a nice - sounding whole
wheat, highly walnutty
bread (it's a yeast
recipe - Bernard Clayton) and some sourdough starter purportedly especially grown on, and
good with, whole -
wheat flour.
In order to make her feel included, I modified the
recipe as follows (IN CAPS): * Unsalted butter (for pan)- NO BUTTER * 1 (1 - pound) loaf country - style or «peasant» white
bread, sliced 1/4» - thick - WHOLE WHEAT BREAD * 3 cups heavy cream - SKIM MILK * 6 ounces milk chocolate, coarsely chopped - SLIM FAST CHOCOLATE PROTEIN SHAKE MIX * 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped - DITTO * 1 tablespoon vanilla extract - SAME * 9 large eggs - EGG BEATERS WHITES * 2 cups whole milk - WATER * 1 cup sugar - SPLENDA GRANULATED SWEETENER * 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt - LEFT OUT * 1/2 cup hazelnuts, coarsely chopped - SAME Well, we were all loving ours but Aunt Marge wasn't so thrilled with her healthy ver

Well, we were all loving ours but Aunt Marge wasn't so thrilled with her healthy version.
I used the
recipe from the P90x coleslaw that I had, and used whole
wheat sandwich rolls instead of the recommended
bread but it was still
good.
I use it in my
bread maker with a whole
wheat recipe & it turns out
well.
I am about to make apple
bread, usually make up a
good part of the
recipe and this time I will use a blend of almond flour and
wheat flour and almond chips instead of pecans, then regular ingredients and flavorings to enhance.
