good with basil; or feta and olives.
Instead of cilantra (that I absolutely lvoe), you can use parsely (especially the stronger flavored american parsley) or basil; instead of sunflower oil, you could use (less of) peanut oil, which is strongr but blends
well with basil and coconut.
The sharp and tangy cheese pairs so
well with basil and nuts, and this recipe adds a fun surprise with some rosemary thrown in.
Grapefruit pairs
well with basil and is used in this granite cleaner for its range of antimicrobial benefits.
The crackers in the photo are my Pizza Crackers, which work really
well with this basil flavored Tofu Ricotta.

I love them all, but if I had to pick a favourite then I'd say the sun dried tomato and
basil flavour is the
best as it's just so rich in flavour but the roasted aubergine and carrot flavours were real hits
with my friends.

Since I purchased a food processor I have become obsessed
with making vegan spinach
basil pesto — not just for this avocado chickpea salad but also for my avocado pesto egg stuffed tomatoes (which makes for the
best gluten free dairy free appetizer).
My
good old standby lately has been Portebello «Pizzas» Preheat oven to 425 F. Top an upside down Portobello mushroom
with whatever you can find, but in my case,
basil, cherry tomatoes and Boccaccini.
In winter days when
basil is not readily available... a
good quality tomato sauce
with basil completes the Italian herb trio that gives distinct Italian - style flavor to bolognese pasta sauce - i.e. trio of thyme, oregano, and
basil.
Sauce was not overly sweet and tasted like being made
with good quality tomatoes and
basil.
Grilled peaches are slightly caramelized, and they pair really
well with coconut and
basil.
We make it
better with real mozzarella, fresh
basil, and juicy tomatoes.

best part is that it has three delicious toppings - sauteed balsamic onions, heirloom tomatoes

Loving a
good pesto
with pasta, I have always made my own
basil pesto sauce.
Fresh or dry oregano,
basil and parsley are all
good additions as is a little bit of onion (fried
with the garlic) too.
We eat this all the time
with basil... but the arugala looks so
good and would give it such a kick of flavor... I'll be trying this asap for sure!
As a rule of thumb, fresh delicate herbs won't tolerate the long stint at high temps in the oven, so it's
best to «finish» the dish once the vegetables have been removed from the oven and are being served
with a sprinkle of the freshly chopped parsley, cilantro,
