My overall goal for this
year of blogging is to make the blog a
better resource for readers.
Over the course
of the next
year, I made several
good blogging friends online, and learned a lot about
blogging, started several other blogs, and decided to pursue my dream
of getting published.
As I look over this past
year of blogging, I would say that these are some
of the
best things that happened:

best blogging buddies and I teamed up today to bring you a full viewing party spread, complete with snacks, appetizers, big bites, and a festive drink to enjoy as you binge watch the ENTIRE
year in the life.

Even after
years of blogging, I'm still not clawing my way to the top to be the
best «blogger» / chef / Instagram account.
This really is the
best possible dessert I can think
of to celebrate a great
year of blogging.
I've been
blogging for nearly 7
years and it's become more than I ever dreamed
of but taking a little time away now and then is
good for the mind, body and soul.
Not that I'm the vegan cheese queen or anything, but after 5
years of blogging vegan recipes, many
of them cheesy, I thought I had a pretty
good handle on the concept.
A
good 40
years of wonderful
blogging awaits us all with at least 2 golden eras in them

Next month marks my 10th
year of blogging, and one
of the beautiful evolutions I've witnessed during this time is the uptick in social
good efforts by bloggers, brands, and celebrities alike.

of extra money that did really
well a few

This time around, you have a say in the final product, since the prize is your very own case

years ago, and am happy to see do very
well).
Written around his visits to see important fossils, Switek's book is something
of a travelogue as
well as a chronicle built from
years of blogging about dinosaurs.
So what
better way to celebrate my
year of blogging than to revisit one
of my early recipes.
It took me nearly five
years of food
blogging to realize there was a smoke and mirrors situation here as
well.
Well I wanted to do that with you, because over the
years I've been
blogging so many
of you truly have become friends.
So much is happening this time
of year, in real life as
well as in home decor
blogging world.
This
year's conference was one
of the
best blogging conferences I've attended.
During my almost four
years of blogging I have come to appreciate companies that consistently have high - quality gifts and products as
well as top notch customer service.
I've got three
years of style
blogging under my belt, but I'm always looking out for ways to make my outfits look
better.
I have gotten
better about it in recent
years, but the world
of blogging has had a very sharp learning curve for me.

Speaking
of fall and Halloween I wanted to share with you one
of my skull scarves that was gifted to me last

This is one time
of year when everyone from the
blogging community, as
well as the fashion world, centers in one location.
While many
of my 40 +
blogging friends are decidedly low key about the new
year -LCB- which is all
good -RCB-, it appears that the sewing community is abuzz with anticipation.

Over the last two
years since I jumped into the
blogging game, I have seen at least half a dozen cases
of well - known authors doing something equivalent to sticking their foot in it and pissing readers off either in small numbers or large.
Last week when I
blogged about our
Best Book
of the
Year process, I mentioned that some pictures from the August 20th EVVY Awards would be posted on my blog soon.
January 2010 I started
blogging and by the end
of 2012, so we are talking a
good couple
of years of blogging here, I built a speaking platform for myself, I had started podcasting, I was
blogging a couple times a week,
good community
of people and then boom, the book offer comes in from a publisher in the U.S. and I didn't go with that initial offer but it made me think very seriously about going back to that goal
of someday writing a book and so I was introduced to a literary agent and I obviously went the traditional publishing route with Virtual Freedom but there's nothing wrong with the self publishing route at all.
And I plan on openly disclosing my sales numbers as
well, so that we can see whether an unknown (albeit one who has spent the last two
years developing social media connections,
blogging, and taking up as much free internet real estate as humanly possible to get her name out there) can make a significant jump in sales using some
of the same marketing tactics that Mr. Konrath has.
