out of the girl's closets — maybe... We will see how much

gets done, but it's good to have a goal!
I'm hoping that my food issues
get sorted
out before the summer is over so I can take advantage
of the fresh veggies from the market and in my
garden.
When I
got rained
out of a morning
of gardening, I knew this was the time, if the time was ever to be.
I
got the heirlooms from the farmer's market, picked the basil
out of my
garden and used very good cheese, that I grated myself.
We had been meaning to go to The Teahouse at Abkhazi
Garden for years but never
got around to it — and then when I found
out that the woman who has the locker next to me at the gym is the owner
of said Teahouse, it finally gave us the nudge we needed to make it happen.
I no longer have the
garden I did many years ago so haven't done cucumbers in quite awhile; but now... no problem, I've
got zucchini coming
out of my ears.
From
gardening with my Pepé, making gnocchi with Memé, naming «pet» rabbits who would later be ragout to making homemade cinnamon lollipops to sell
out of my locker in grade 7 (
got in trouble for that one).
It's the time
of year for soups, and I've
got plenty
of kale still
out in the
garden begging to be used, and beans in the cupboard!
I have no idea how to even
get started with creating a
garden... and it's gonna be a lot
of fun to figure it
out.
By that time, the pots were relegated to a place in the
garden where they
got lots
of heat, but also dried
out often.

get a tinge
of sadness now when I look
out at the
garden and see the huge empty spot and overgrown grass where it had once stretched
out into the lawn, but it did manage to produce two very solid Jack «O Lanterns before its passing, which was kind seeing as I have two children who would not be satisfied with one pumpkin to share.

of dirt under my fingernails from all the weeds I had to dig

My husband planted zucchini in our
garden this year and I'm obsessed with using up the zucchini before it

of mysore - style ashtanga yoga with your new teacher and sweat so much that you look like you just
