I certainly appreciate your confidence in me, but here's the thing: There's a double - standard out there in which a woman's critique of patriarchy tends
to get discounted as nothing
more than the rants of an «angry feminist,» and, truth be told, I've grown a bit weary of hearing that charge each time I speak out about this disturbing trend in the evangelical
church.
Aside from the fact that I am just not sure these ideas are true, it seems that these sermons and slogans really don't
get people
to pray
more, but simply guilt them into showing up for another meeting in the
church building.
Furthermore, if you
get a job, but the pay is not comparable
to what you were
getting in the
church, the
church should consider supplementing your income while you gain
more experience and knowledge and works your way up
to a higher salary.
Every time I've heard the passage used in a sermon the idea was
to give
more to the
church, and of course the preacher would be
getting part of that.

It has been my experience that those
church leaders who are
more into control and performance will
get very uncomfortable and irritable when someone joins the group who actually want

Believe me our folks in our
church have gone through lots of issues and the comments or praises of God are
more like, «His grace is sufficient
to get us through it.
I am not sure if there is
more to their vision than just
getting back
to Jerusalem, but it seems
to me as I watch and learn and pray about what is happening worldwide, I am beginning
to see signs of renewal and reawakening in all the places that the
church has been previously.
So thankfully, he was a huge help
to me in discussing the new perspective we'd gained (which was
more like confirmation of what we already believed), and helping me
get through the stage of wanting
to despise the institutional
church and anything that slightly smelled of it.
Churches, please bring back the candles that we

Sure, Mitt Romney gives

When I was first reading the article I thought
to myself, «This is one of the things JW, Damian and I discussed not too long ago, an legit effort
to combat LGBT hate and actually embrace them in the new millenium» until I reached the end where the
church is still
getting condemed which makes me wonder, is this program a lot
more malignant than I thought and what exactly is it?

churches and rich people do a lot for others, and that is why thy contiue
to get more..
But we never
got labor organizations
to contribute any
more than the
churches; and indeed, in this financial respect, they may in fact be quite similar.
