The
groups; Let My Vote Count, Account for Accountable
governance and the Youth wing
of the biggest opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP), wrote to the Police, seeking permission to march through some principal streets
of Accra and end up at the Electoral Commission (EC) and Parliament House to present a petition on the
need to have a new voters register for the 2016 elections.
In relation to local government, I argued we
need to restore proper
governance arrangements for the party corresponding to local government structures, which would operate effectively and democratically, ensure accountability, oversee the operation
of Labour
groups in local government, their organisation and democratic functions, and review the operation
of local campaign forums to ensure they meet the
needs of both Labour
groups and local parties.
However, they also work on an understanding that local territories differ and local consumers have different
needs across the globe, therefore from a legal perspective, we have been supported to create the right legal frameworks and corporate
governance structures for our local territories whilst always working closely with our regional and parent company colleagues to ensure the existence
of as cohesive arrangements in the
group as possible.
It found that capacity - building was crucial to the establishment
of the PBC, focusing on developing the
group's decision - making skills and creating a transparent
governance process that addressed the
needs of traditional people living in an urban environment.
Communities
need the scope to design structures and methods
of governance to suit their
needs and the size
of their
group, rather than these being externally imposed in a one size fits all approach.
The common themes include: a shared negative experience
of colonisation and cultural disruption, including in many cases catastrophic declines in physical, spiritual and cultural health and wellness over multiple generations; the consequent desire among First Nations to regain Indigenous self - determination and self -
governance in order to nurture healthy and happy future generations; the
need to understand cultural differences in how the meanings
of health and wellness are understood and applied at the community, family and individual levels, and to therefore identify culturally appropriate responses, including traditional modalities and safe systems
of care; the significance
of cultural diversity between different Indigenous
groups or communities within both countries; the differing
needs and circumstances for Indigenous health and wellness in urban, regional and remote settings; and the challenges
of delivering health services to remote communities in often harsh environments.
Indigenous people
need to establish decision - making processes and
governance structures that are appropriate to their own
group so that important questions, like the alienation
of land, can be given the consideration they deserve by the particular
group who own the land.
Again, I refer to the Argyle Participation Agreement to demonstrate how establishing appropriate
governance frameworks that meet the
needs of the
groups involved can reduce the potential for lateral violence as a result
of the effective management and distribution
of resources.

governance that reflects clear - headed thinking on the part
of the governments» electors, all 100,000
of «you all», and not just upon a few, pre-selected, «approved» voting delegates who are easily swayed by the bullshit that routinely gets spewed during pre-vote «information sessions» (indoctrination sessions) in
group format whereby NO ONE wants to be seen to be out
of step with the awesome ruleing elites... for heavens's sake!
