Diane I will be interested in your trial of using the fine
grade steel wool on the wax.
A good tip I was given to get the shine on a piece is to wait until the wax dries then polish it up with a very fine
grade steel wool.
Not exact matches
Add 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide (basic 3 % like this one — not medical
grade) to the vinegar /
steel wool mixture and stir.
I was wondering on the diy stain is it okay to use the fine (0)
grade (that is what I already have) or should I use the 000
grade of
steel wool?
This
grade of
steel wool will polish your clear wax and you will be in awe of the finish your painted and clear waxed piece now has.
Hi Gay — Thanks for the tip on using the fine
grade of
steel wool to polish and buff the wax.
Although, I am unable to get the
Steel Wool Grade000, but I have found the
grade 0000 and 00.
