Nguyen - duy has received many awards and grants including an En Foco New Works Photography Award; a Professional Development Grant from the College Arts Association; an American Photography Institute National Graduate Fellowship, New York, NY; a fellowship from the Oregon Arts Commission in Salem, OR; a B. Wade and Jane B. White Fellowship in the Humanities at Oberlin College; and two Individual Artist Fellowships from the Ohio Arts Council in Columbus, OH.

Since graduating I have been shortlisted for the prestigious Welsh young artist of the year award for the national Eisteddfod Wales, I have been included in various shows including Collect gallery, Liverpool, White - wall Gallery, Leeds, Whitehall waterfront Gallery, Leeds and was included in the Liverpool Biennale in 2008 and had work on show in different locations including Tate Liverpool.

Currently in its fourth year, the Fleming - Wyfold Bursary is an annual award for an artist exhibiting in the graduate shows of the five Scottish art schools.
