I've made omelettes chock full of vegetables and served sauteed kale on top of whole
grain toast for breakfast, but I have to admit that I am a newbie to vegetables in my smoothies.

If you're still eating a sugar - filled,
grain - heavy breakfast (bagels, pancakes,
toast, cereal) this is among the worst choices
for the morning.
My pitaya smoothie bowl has
toasted cashews which satisfy the crunch - factor
for that recipe, but oodles of crunch-less pitaya bowls in Bali (I know, I'm not getting any sympathy) inspired me to create a 100 %
grain - free granola.

Eventually I came upon the magical combination of whole
grain toast, cheese and an egg, which kept me satiated, and became my breakfast standard
for the next five years.
Key to me here is the fact that I used a whole
grain pasta, that there is a distinct flavor of
toasted sesame oil, and that the dish has vegetables in it (
for those of us trying to sneak them in wherever we can!).

grain toasted oat cereal, chopped nuts, peanut butter, coconut oil, and honey combine
for no - bake breakfast bars that also make a tasty snack!
She now bakes at least one loaf of 100 % whole wheat bread a week
for sandwiches and
toast, but this week, I got back in the kitchen and made a vegan variation on our favorite recipe and spiked it with Bob's Red Mill 8
Grain Hot Cereal.
Add the rinsed
grains and cook
for 2 to 3 minutes or until they begin smelling
toasted.
For this French
toast, I recommend a good bakery quality, sturdy whole
grain bread.
It can be served on
grain - free crackers, on top of low - carb
toast for breakfast (my favorite), or as a dip

toasted walnuts paired with tart cranberries, sweet pears and just a handful of white chocolate chips making it perfect
for this month's Twelve Loaves challenge of using nuts, seeds or
grains in a bread.
Add the rice and continue to cook

grains are covered in oil and beginning to

On a day - to - day basis, use coconut oil as a spread on your
toasted whole -
grain bread, an add - in to your smoothie, or as the grease
for your cooked vegetables.
Spiralizing makes quick work of preparing the beets
for fermenting and they look super cool tossed into salads, soups,
grain bowls and on top of avocado

grains (like cooked quinoa or farro), 1/4 cup cooked beets, anything else you can think of!
The recipe called
for superior breadcrumbs and
for that I made my own with sprouted
grain bread that I
toasted and then pulsed in the food processor.
MLA also worked with The Coffee Club on its existing steak sandwich — revamping the beef cut used (opting
for a 100 - day
grain fed rump steak which suited the kitchen equipment), replaced the bread with
toasted sourdough and improved the flavour profile.
You can cook the
grains in the oil
for a few minutes to give it a little
toasted flavor, or you don't have to.
To really gild the breakfast lily, serve alongside fried potatoes and some
toasted whole

My perfect egg salad sandwich recipe is much simpler... whole
grain wheat
toast is a must, of course, but add sliced olives to the egg mixture - they provide much flavor without the need
