I couldn't eat a lot of them at any rate, because these
days, anything
with grain flours sits in my stomach like a lead brick.
In our experiments, we found that after 3
days, 2 cups of coconut milk
with 1 Tablespoon of kefir
grains had a refreshing, lightly tangy aroma.
Thankfully, I plan ahead more these
days with simple solutions for success, like putting up portions of leftover steak in the freezer for future salads, meal prepping a week's worth of whole
grains like quinoa or oatmeal, and placing my scoops of protein powders and recovery drinks into single - serve baggies for a grab - and - go before the gym.

Grain Free Irish Soda Bread Biscuits.
I eat whole
grains, fruits, vegs, nuts, seeds everyday along
with turmeric, cinnamon, brazil nuts (1 per
day) and add ground flax to anything I can.
We love the whole
grain (ww / rye / oat) waffle / pancake recipe
with poppy seeds from SuperNatural Everyday and this blog's early
days.
Food heaven is that you???? I have to admit I can eat 100 % whole wheat bread and pasta all
day every
day and never miss the bleached / refined stuff but the sticky rice
with takeout - style food is my bleached
grains pitfall.
When the holidays are upon us it can be easy to cheat
with gluten and
grains but you know you will pay the price the next
day or even sooner.

Still on a high after the success of my Apple - Pecan Quinoa Muffins I practically ran to the Whole Foods near my office at lunch the next
day to pick up quinoa flour, rainbow quinoa (Per Patty's suggestion) and other seeds,
grains and flours that I was determined to start baking
with.
