instruction in letter sounds, word decoding, sentence reading, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and
grammar.
As teachers seek to balance
instruction in the development and organization of ideas
with choices in language fluency and correctness, they often ask, «What is the relationship between writing
instruction and

Each student met twice in a guided reading group, engaged
with peers in three book clubs, participated in whole - class
