My favorite version uses maple sugar as the sweetener, which can easily be subbed with lakanto or other
granulated sweeteners like coconut sugar.

any granulated sweetener you like.

like the firmer texture you get when using a
granulated sweetener, compared to the softer texture you get with a liquid
sweetener.
The brownie batter calls for pumpkin puree, smooth almond or cashew butter, cocoa powder (unsweetened), and protein powder, and the frosting calls for chocolate protein powder,
granulated sweetener (
like stevia powder), nut butter (cashew or macadamia works well because they're nice and smooth), and vegan milk of choice.
If you'd
like to try using a sugar replacement, I recommend Lankato monkfruit white
sweetener or Swerve
granulated sugar replacement, but you may have to add some more milk as those sugar replacements tend to be drying.
Stir in cocoa / carob (sifted if you
like, but I have never bothered with this) and
granulated sweetener and combine thoroughly.
Coconut palm sugar is my favorite (near --RRB- raw
granulated sweetener; it tastes
like brown sugar!
Question — You said
granulated sweetener... I've never used any of the
sweeteners you mentioned (leary of the two non-nutritive
sweeteners still); do you think raw sugar would work, or maybe something finer
like cane sugar or even powdered sugar?
I'd also use evaporated cane juice, Sucanat, date sugar, or palm sugar for the
sweetener — but really, you can use pretty much ANY dry
granulated sugar you
like.
Whether you need a
granulated sweetener to replace table sugar, a powdered
sweetener to replace confectionery sugar or a liquid
sweetener to replace corn syrup, we have carefully developed safe, low glycemic, low caloric
sweeteners that taste and act just
like sugar.
Katie - I'm sure any other
granulated sweetener (
like stevia) may work in place of the erythritol, but I wouldn't recommend using liquid stevia.
If you use a
granulated sweetener,
like coconut sugar, you'll just have to make sure the sugar crystals dissolve completely before serving.
Make it extra skinny by trading
granulated sugar for a natural
sweetener,
like honey or Stevia.

Dietz Sweet is only a replacement for
granulated sweeteners, so for liquid
sweeteners like honey or maple syrup, you'll have to just experiment.
