This isn't simply
a graphically updated version of the game, although it certainly is that, with beautifully redone 1080p resolution and more realistic lighting.

I was hoping for it to be a
graphically updated and extended port
of the Wii U
version, with all the 3ds exclusive stages, modes, and trophies being implemented into the
game in a remade HD format.
As this is a
game which originally released on PC in 2011, you would be forgiven for expecting that the graphics would have aged and would not be on par with PS4
games before playing the
game, but it is the true sign
of an excellent remaster when the developer makes the effort
of updating the graphics engine from the original
version of their internally built RoadHog engine to their
updated RoadHog engine which
graphically pushes the PS4's powerful hardware as much as Shadow Warrior.
It's worth noting that the PS4 and Xbox One
versions of the
game are
graphically - enhanced
versions of their PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts, with further 4K HDR
updates available on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles.
