Then cut a piece
of graphite paper (or create your own by rubbing a pencil across a plain piece of paper) just a bit bigger than your printout.

In Vertebrae, a human spine made out of paper and string is hung onto the wall with a metal nail or a
glossy graphite paper curls around a bent wooden ruler in Serpentine.
This came up out of necessity one night while trying to make a sign and I had
no graphite paper.
Tracing with
graphite paper is one way of doing this or, if you are too lazy to go looking for the graphite paper up in your craft closet, a simple Typography Transfer tutorial can be found HERE.
You can also do it in pencil first, or trace it on with
a graphite paper, and then going over it if hand lettering isn't your jam.
Then place the printout faceup on top of
the graphite paper, being sure to center it on the plate, and tape two corners of both papers in place so they don't move around.
Step 2: Place
the graphite paper facedown on the plate.
Make sure you place
your graphite paper the correct way.
