I actually live in Québec city and had never tried homemade poutine (people
too often use already made
gravy... argh) but this
recipe looked so yummy and easy to make I just HAD to try it....
Both a cousin and a sister - in - law stick to gluten - free diets, so I added gluten - free constraints to the challenge of formulating the perfect
gravy, but, the
recipe is also great with more customary wheat flour
too.
How about sprucing up that weekend pork tenderloin
recipe with an apple cider glaze or marinade, create a refreshing summer punch, use it to enrich your
gravy, steam your shell - fish in it for another depth of flavor, braise your vegetables in it, and incorporate it into your new favorite salad dressing; the options are endless with cider and the best part is, it keeps for a long time
too!
I did write a few of Granny's
recipes down as she made things because most of the times, she didn't use a
recipe (aka her Thanksgiving Stuffing and
Gravy) and Dad's Hamburger Hash

But I couldn't keep this
gravy recipe to myself for the next 23 + days, it's just
too good whether you have biscuits or not.
I also do love to prepare dishes in advance, if it's possible, generally I feel
too excited for cooking just at the last minute, so the idea of making the
gravy before is quite interesting, thank you dearest Jean for another so interesting
recipe of yours!
