I love
using coconut oil as a body moisturiser but there are loads
of great natural beauty brands on My Favourite Products blog post which may also do body moisturisers.
Just to play with the flavor, I
used coconut oil in place
of the butter and I
used coconut flour in place
of the all purpose flour, but
of course, you could do these either way and they'd still be
great.
It may sound strange to
use an
oil in lieu
of butter, but
coconut oil, like butter, is solid at room temperature so it makes a
great butter substitute.
You can
use expeller pressed
coconut oil and / or bacon grease as well — any combination
of these 3 fats works
great, and you can reuse the fat — just strain it after you make the carnitas and store it in the fridge.
2 cups blanched almond flour — I
use Honeyville brand, it works the best 2 cups rolled oats (not instant)-- certified gluten - free if you are intolerant 1 cup fresh pumpkin puree (canned will also work) 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup grapeseed
oil (olive
oil, melted
coconut oil or ghee would also work) 1/2 cup organic local honey (maple syrup would be
great here, too) 1 large farm fresh brown egg (or egg replacement
of your choice) 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup raisins (dried cranberries or mini chocolate chips would also be delicious) 1 1/2 tablespoons flaxseed (optional)
I
use unsweetened original almond milk, solid
coconut oil, and have even
used 1/2 baking soda 1/2 baking powder because I didn't have a whole tablespoon
of baking powder at the time - still turn out
great!

used a bag
of Vegan Dark Chocolate Chips that I got at Whole Foods, melted together with some

The last Nutiva
coconut oil product I
used, which I am now out
of, melted at over 76 degrees which was
great for medicinal
use, because it also re-solidified, or became gel like anyway, back again at less than 76 degrees.
I switched to almond milk, I've had
great success, I only have it with cereal so far, I haven't made a smoothie yet but I'm going to start making them again and
use a Tbl spoon
of virgin
coconut oil.

use Bob's Red Mill 7 grain pancake and waffle mix and add a mix
of water, almond milk, chia seeds, and cinnamon until it's pancake batter consistency then cook them over medium / high heat with
coconut oil.

of you who wanted to know about the white choc chips, well I avoid all dairy and refined sugars so I simply made my own, its dead easy — simply combine pure raw cacao butter (gently melted) with a pinch
of celtic salt, a little extract
of vanilla and some raw cashew butter, then freeze in a suitable container before breaking into chunks!!!!! yummy You can make dark chocolate chips even easier by melting pure
coconut oil and stirring in a little vanilla, honey and raw cacao powder before freezing!!!
They turned out
great (I
used grass fed butter instead
of coconut oil).
Great options for add ins to customize and I love the
use of coconut oil.

These cookies are also
great for
coconut lovers, because they are made with
coconut oil and
coconut milk, but if you don't have
coconut milk, you can
use any milk
of your choice.
I haven't tried that in this specific cake, but I have
used butter instead
of coconut oil in some
of my other cake recipes and the results were just
great.

great for the hair's health; however its
use depends on each person's needs and type
of hair.
It's a
great addition to certain recipes that
use coconut oil with cacao powder, and I once made something adding a bit
of cacao butter that turned the filling
of a chocolate pie into an amazing pot de creme!

I tried it once as is and it was
great but a bit too much
coconut flavor so I
used ghee instead
of coconut oil and that really helped.

use coconut oil as crazy as that sounds... it's a
great way to give the babies a little bit
of a massage.

great wonders
of nature, offering us so many versatile
uses and benefits.
EDIT:
Coconut oil is still a
great option for the saturated fat category
of the formula and can be
used in the same amount as the goat milk ghee.
I find that mixing this seasoning mix with equal parts honey and
coconut oil makes a
great marinade or rub for many types
of meats and vegetables (especially when
used for grilled foods).

Combining essential oils with a carrier
oil is always a safe idea, and it allows for a
greater surface area
of application, so be sure to
use a carrier
oil such as sweet almond
