food truck is a
great place to sell certain specialty
food concoctions — things like
veggie hot dogs with your special homemade sauerkraut or gourmet pretzels with a variety of dipping sauces or fruit dipped in different chocolate and sauces, crepes, meatballs, cupcakes — the possibilities are nearly limitless.
Creating some space in your schedule to bring your kids along for the journey of shopping (or better yet, picking - if you are fortunate enough to have a
veggie garden) and being involved in some kitchen creations can be a real source of joy for little ones, and a
great time to teach them about the origins of their
food.
Last weekend the allergy + free from show and V - delicious
veggie good
food show took place and I had the opportunity to meet the people behind many of these
great products too.
It gets severely used regularly because I feed a raw diet to my two
Great Danes and the
veggie & fruit component (which is very similar to home - made baby
food) all ends up being final - processed and mixed in my Blendtec.
We don't eat a lot of meat and also keep a kosher kitchen, so here are my go to's these days: three bean
veggie chili (inspired by whole
foods —
GREAT leftover
food); roast chicken (Ina's); stir fries with tofu or chicken (super into cabbage and you can get it to taste like moo shoo with the proper sauces); roasted brussel sprouts with barley, cranberries, walnuts, and some goat cheese depending on who you are; grilled chicken (breasts... I know they're not your thing).

great new ideas for feeding myself, husband and 2 young girls healthy and tasty
veggie food.
My Gram (pictured) was a
great influence as she made me delicious
veggie foods, like rissoles, nut roast and these delicious tarts that tasted like they had bacon in them — I need to find that recipe.
