The new styling hides some physical growth, too, most significantly in
width — at 1931 mm it's 64 mm wider than before, and its 1638 mm
track is 123 mm
greater than that of the old car.
Its suspension setup is the same too — it boasts a
track width 20 mm
greater than the 650S, with front and rear springs 27 per cent and 63 per cent stiffer respectively.
These aluminium struts are in total 4 kg lighter than the steel components, as well as being stronger, to support the
greater forces generated by the increase in
track width and tyre size.
The powerful design offers wider front and rear fenders with increased
track width for prime grip and
great cornering speeds.
