recipe is a great base to which you can add all sorts of tasty ingredients including kale, chickpeas, or
green peas.
I have a question about the beans though, when someone asked what beans you used you replied «
green peas» however in the
recipe it lists both 1/2 cup of
peas and 1 cup of beans.
I adapted this
recipe from the popular North - Indian dish methi malai matar which is just the similar curry but instead of paneer, it is made with
green peas only.

recipe, and realized that I used split
peas.

peas which are now available in grocery stores and veggie markets.
I think my mom has a
recipe, but the salad layers goes something like this: lettuce, red and yellow bell peppers, eggs,
green peas, red onions, celery, Ranch dressing, cheddar cheese.

The versions of dal that I've eaten in the past have always been made with lentils —
green, red, or yellow — but I recently came across a
recipe on Bon Apetit that used split
peas.
