Peter i do landscaping & painting both very physically demanding jobs and still very low carb only from
green veggies i have lost alot of weight in 3 months from being in a ketogenic state but im also worried that not getting enough carbs from alot of physical activity so should i up my calories in fat or add in some more carbs from say sweet potatoes and carrots on the days i work and remain high fat on my non work days

Generally, dark
green veggies have more than enough calcium to keep bones healthy, and especially when combined with strengthening exercises, can prevent osteoporosis.

Consuming 2 - 3 pounds per day of raw
green veggies would probably not be advisable, but then again, consuming 2 - 3 pounds of any single food group daily isn't the best idea.

On my plate, you can see I
have about a fist - and - a-half of potatoes, a fist of
greens (I later helped myself to another serving, bringing my total to 2 fistfuls of
veggies), and a fist - and - a-half of fish.
My only rules are: it's got to be quick, tasty and
have a load of
green veggies.
Green veggies are bursting with chlorophyll which
has incredible alkalinising, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying benefits, and so leaves you feeling perfectly energised and refreshed.
For those of you that are
green juice addicts I should say that I
've tried adding some
greens to this, but it made the flavour a little strange so I think it's best to stick with the sweeter
veggies and a little fruit.
Red peppers are my absolute favourites, although orange and yellow ones are awesome too — I
have to admit though that
green peppers are one of the only
veggies I don't like, I just can't seem to get on with their flavour, it just seems to bitter for me.
It's usually lentils or quinoa (we cook large batches so we always
have some ready in our fridge),
greens, fruit, some roasted
veggies and eggs.

Green Beans 3 cups spinach 3 cloves garlic 2 tsp dry or 2 inches fresh grated ginger 2 Tbs sesame oil 1 Tbs honey 2 - 3 Tbs tamari (or to taste) Olive oil - enough for cooking
veggies (if using a non-stick pan you
'd need less, but I don't recommend non-stick pans) 1 Tbs turmeric sea salt + cayenne to taste 4 eggs or 1/2 block of firm tofu chopped Left over grains (optional)
Love taking fresh tomatoes basil
green onions and black beans and tossing them in a little bit of olive oil and balsamic, if you
have peppers and other
veggies throw them in as well.
Debi doctored some browned hamburger meat with onion soup mix and worcester sauce, then added some
green beans (or any
veggies you
have on hand) over Della Basmati Rice.
These ones
have a few added
veggies in the way of
green peas, making them extra-yummy.
Speaking of
Green Smoothie Cleanse, following the cleanse I still seemed to
have lots of
veggies leftover, which made this recipe even more timely.

've got tons of good stuff inside too — eggs, cream, shredded cheese, crispy bacon and lots of fresh sautéed
veggies like zucchini, mixed bell peppers,
green onion and garlic with a touch of fresh thyme for garnish.

veggies by simply whipping up a smoothie!
I still think a smoothie should be somewhat sweet and creamy, and instead of blending a whole bunch of
veggies together, which could be a little strange and not very appetising, I
have made a
green juice out of broccoli, lemon, cucumber, zucchini and apples and then blended it with avocado and almonds.
:) I love the idea of juicing the
veggies and THEN adding them to the smoothie because I
have to admit, all those smoothies with little bits of
greens and other
veggies are a little unappetizing to me.

had green beans like this before and
green beans are one of my favourite
veggies!
The
greens released a lot of water so boiling down the liquid to a glaze took very long - I
had to do it in a separate pot to not overcook the
veggies.
Yeah, but it's actually fine, I think — it may
have been overwhelming if it was all
greens, but most of this salad consists of the roasted

having two sets of hands to make it in our house... we put an egg on this too of course - tuna pasta (chopped onion, garlic, lemon zest, chili flakes, tuna, olives — easily adaptable to what you already
have in the house and like)- roast chicken on friday - roasted sweet potatoes - omlets - challa french toast
I work shift work so my daily meals can be some what repetitive but I always
have green salad fixings available to me and most days of the week see me tossing mixed
greens with chopped
veggies, avocado and protein.
If you want to add some more
veggies, since you're pureeing the soup, some good choices
would be: zucchini, celery,
green bell pepper, basil, fresh parsley.
