That's interesting, I've always been slightly confused by the different terminology used to describe
ground almond products in different countries.

They don't seem to have
almond meal here (which is what I mostly use for grain - free recipes), so what I do is buy raw
almonds and
grind them in the processadora or licuadora (in my case), and then sift the
ground almonds so that only the finest go through, and then re-
grind the rest until all the
almond meal is fine enough — the texture of the
almond meal can really affect the final
product.

Residents should note there are comparable personal care and cosmetic
products containing natural materials like
ground almonds, pumice, and oatmeal that provide the same effects as
products containing synthetic plastic microbeads.
Having seen a lot of press recently regarding the fact that some companies are adding peanuts to
ground almonds, I would be happy with some form of certification to prove that this
product is pure
almond, as there is nothing to state such and I use the marzipan for weding and other celebration cakes.

I finally got my defatted
almond flour and
ground golden flax in the mail today, and those ingredients yielded a very different final
product indeed.
