We welcome you to attend our weekend adoption events to meet random
groups of adoptable dogs and puppies.
They are medium to large breed dogs with behavior challenges and they are the last
group of adoptable dogs still dying in large numbers at our city shelter.

We can't possibly highlight all
of them, but when a
dog or cat has been in foster care for too long or when a rescue
group wants us to help tell a special animal's story, you'll find that story in our
Adoptable Pets page.
In addition to maintaining its own network
of fosters and
dogs, Cane Rosso Rescue seeks to support other DFW area
dog rescue
groups through its collaborative «Pups on the Patio» events, held in the spring and fall seasons at Cane Rosso locations, in which area rescue
groups are given the opportunity to bring
adoptable dogs to Cane Rosso's
dog - friendly patios for an evening
of fundraising, pet adoptions, and pizza.
In addition, there are vendors, food trucks, rescue
groups with
adoptable pets, and Mary Swift Photography will be on hand once again to lead our «Best
of the Fest» photo contest, the winners
of which will be printed in Baltimore Style, Baltimore's Child Magazine, and Maryland
Dog Magazine.
We are a small
group of volunteers and passionate animal lovers who are interested in finding wonderful homes for the many
adoptable dogs in the south who, by no fault
of their own, find themselves on the streets or in shelters without loving families to care for them.
For those event - goers who don't have a canine companion, a selection
of adoptable dogs from area shelters and rescue
groups — members
of the Mayor's Alliance — will be on hand to tempt and tantalize, and hopefully find their perfect match at the event.
We are not using our initiative to market and promote
adoptable animals in the media — the spca and humane society do not properly network with other animal rescue
groups — The by - laws should be changed to more than 3
dogs or cats so that people want to care for more animals are able to do so — If the animals are well taken care
of and arent a nuisance than badly needed homes from animal lovers should not be considered a crime — Imagine compassion and caring are the crime and yet you are weighing the pros and cons
of murdering the animals and that is OK — Does anyone reading this see the insanity!!?? If the insanity wasnt so tragic it would be a joke!!
New York, NY — Friday, October 8, 2010 — Despite its disappointment with the American Kennel Club's (AKC) decision to forbid
adoptable dogs and puppies from local animal rescue
groups and shelters from being on the premises at this month's «Meet the Breeds» event at the Javit's Center, the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals says it does not want to discourage New York animal lovers from attending the event and gaining the benefits
of its educational components, particularly with regard to responsible pet ownership.
They are a small
group of volunteers and passionate animal lovers who are interested in finding wonderful homes for the many
adoptable dogs in the south who, by no fault
of their own, find themselves on the streets or in shelters without loving families to care for them.
It was created in February 2009 by a
group of people in the Atlanta area who wanted to do more to save the many
adoptable dogs and cats who found themselves on death row in Georgia animal control facilities.
Without the tireless efforts
of these
groups working to place homeless animals with permanent families and educating the public about the responsibilities
of dog ownership, many more
of these wonderful,
adoptable pets would needlessly be put to death each year.
Doing what they can to reduce the likelihood
of adoptable cats and
dogs being euthanized, Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption works with other rescue
groups, shelters and animal control facilities throughout Georgia to rescue highly
adoptable dogs and cats.
The Humane Society
of Greater Miami, The Cat Network and local rescue
groups will join host Miami - Dade Animal Services with their
adoptable dogs, cats, kittens and puppies for a day filled with happy «tails» endings!

In 1997, a small
group of volunteers, motivated by the unnecessary deaths
of thousands
of adoptable pets in our local shelters, recognized that Washoe County needed a new type
of animal rescue facility — a facility dedicated to giving the
dogs and cats at our municipal animal control shelter a second chance at life before their time ran out.
FOTAS also attends many off - site events, taking
adoptable dogs, and sometimes cats, to showcase to this great and generous community what a wonderful
group of animals await their forever homes.

Companion Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue
group whose primary goal is to match rescued,
adoptable dogs and cats with caring families who's desire is to provide a loving and safe environment for them for the rest
of their natural lives.
After working with various rescue
groups for many years, the founders
of Rescued Pets Movement realized that the best way to save these
dogs and cats is to build solid relationships with reputable rescue
groups here and in areas
of the United States where there is a need for
adoptable pets and transport the animals to these organizations using our own vans and drivers.
Some weekends, our
group will be at Petsmart at the intersection
of Johnson and Ambassador Caffery or Petsmart in the new Costco shopping center with
adoptable dogs and cats.
Spring NKUT Super Adoption: May 4 & 5, 2018 Hundreds
of adoptable cats,
dogs and rabbits will be featured from more than 20 Utah shelters and rescue
groups, each committed to making Utah a no - kill state.
The animal - loving artisans make a variety
of items that rescue
groups need to keep
adoptable dogs comfortable as they await forever homes.
They work with rescue
groups, offer some type
of sterilization service, vaccinate
adoptable animals, check for heartworm, and microchip outgoing
dogs and cats.
The
group's mission is to protect homeless, abandoned and mistreated Great Danes and other
dog breeds within our volunteer care organization; to work with area animal shelters and humane societies in rescue efforts to help place
adoptable animals into safe, loving, forever homes; and to educate people about spay / neuter and the need for sterilization
of all pets, proper health care
of a pet, nutritional requirements, socialization and training.
According to tragic, first - person accounts from former PeTA employees and watchdog
groups, the well - funded organization is quick to dispatch healthy, young and
adoptable dogs and cats alongside the sick and too far - gone, often within hours
of obtaining them, while making no concerted effort to find the animals new homes.
Depending on the location and size
of the venue, the public enjoys the unique opportunity to select from hundreds
of healthy and
adoptable dogs, cats and critters from many rescue
group partners at one time, all in a fun and stress - free setting.

This year's Main Event will feature hundreds
of adoptable pets (
dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and other small critters) from dozens
of different rescue and shelter
groups from around the Greater Cincinnati area including
dogs from the Brown County Animal Shelter.
This teaches the importance
of playgroups and how a
dog's ability to play in
groups brings out their true personality and makes them more sociable and more importantly
adoptable.
Participants are allowed to submit bios and photos
of adoptable dogs from their shelters and rescue
groups for the accompanying Doggie in the Window.
There are
adoptable dogs of every breed, age, size and personality available throughout the U.S. Breed - specific rescue
groups and online adoption databases like Petfinder.com make it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.
Because the shelter is not overrun with outdoor cats, staff can focus their limited time on
adoptable cats and
dogs, and both
of these
groups have higher adoption rates when community cat programs are in place.
Offer a basic training class once a month to help volunteers learn how to work with the
dogs in their care, or help the shelter or rescue
group establish a simple training protocol for each
of their
adoptable dogs.
After the Adoption Center, the
group moved onto our Canine Annex for Recovery & Enrichment (CARE), where Mateo picked out a book and read to one
of our
adoptable dogs, Ocarina.
The collaborative partnership among the Animatch network
of animal welfare
groups has created a safety net that provides a second chance for hundreds
of adoptable dogs in Massachusetts.
