Oliver Ranch is the first published look at one of the greatest collections of outdoor sculpture in the world (open to the public only during the fall and spring for organized groups).

Opening on May 24, Common Ground, a group exhibition featuring sculpture, installation, and performance, looks at how different works of art approach the idea of public sculpture and civic engagement.

Bringing together over 40 years of Messager's installations, books, photographs, drawings and sculptures, the exhibition curated by Rachel Kent will present a thematic grouping of her creations to the Australian public.

In 1963, a group that included Mr. Forakis, Mark di Suvero, Robert Grosvenor and Forrest Myers started exhibiting their work, playing free jazz and discussing the future of public sculpture in a floor at the top of a loft building in Lower Manhattan near Park Place, where several of them lived.

With a dozen new sculptures, a concert and the screening of a group of films, Sarah Lucas takes over the finally reopened Albergo Diurno, a stunning and neglected underground public bath designed by Piero Portaluppi in the early 1920s.

Among these are Negev at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, 1987; Space of Dragon, Olympic Park, Seoul, South Korea, 1985; Becalmed Beings, Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, Hiroshima, Japan, 1993; Space of Unknown Growth, Europos Parkas, Vilnius, Lithuania, 1997 - 98; Unrecognized, Citadel Park, Poznan, Poland, 2002; Space of Stone, Grounds for Sculpture, Hamilton, New Jersey, 2003; and her last major public work, Agora, a sculptural group comprised of 106 unique cast - iron figures measuring over nine - feet tall permanently installed in Chicago's Grant Park in 2006.
