growing market, I don't believe this is our biggest target
market.
Counting among its successes the recent launch of the Borders eBook store, powered by Kobo, and mobile applications - and its rapidly
growing selection of
eReading devices - Borders is poised for significant growth in the
eReading market.
It is
growing all the time as new devices come onto the
market but really you will be restricted to tablet PCs like the iPad, Google Nexus, Kindle Fire etc. (whilst they will work on smaller devices like the Kindle Voyage or Paperwhite they will not look as good as the smaller the
eReader the more the layout will be shrunk to fit the screen, unlike with the reflowable text option which can be read comfortably on any size device).
I will also point out that one of the
growing markets for
ereaders is the 60 + generation who are turning to them because any book is a large print book on an
ereader.
The NextBook Next3 is among the
growing ranks of Android tablets
marketed as
ereaders.
As the demand for portable and low - cost books increases, the
market for eBooks and
eReaders will
grow as well.
As the
eReader market grows in Australia, it looks like electronic newspaper subscriptions will follow a more traditional model where subscribes subscribe from the newspaper itself.
As one of the fastest
growing consumer
markets,
eReaders continue to
grow in popularity due to falling retail prices, improved features, and fast
growing library of digital content.
