Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Friday commended the Federal Government's efforts on the National Home
Grown School Feeding programme.
Ms Uwais had reportedly said that, «A total of 7,812,201 Nigerians are direct beneficiaries of the SIP, which include home -
grown school feeding programme, conditional cash transfer, N - Power; while secondary beneficiaries — mainly farmers and cooks — are about 1,500,000.

school feeding programme which he said has increased enrollment by 30 percent, currently serves over 7 million
school children, across 22 of Nigeria's 36 states, and continues to
grow as more States sign up for it.
The underlying script for the President's visit, however, is the fascination with the progress of Aregbesola's primary and secondary education project in Osun, especially the state's Home
Grown School Feeding (HGSF)
programme, which provides a reference point for a similar
programme by other states and even by the Federal Government.
