In encounters with the undead, one bite instantly kills you, so even lone zombies can pose a threat if you're not on your guard, making for a beautifully tense experience that demands cautious
play ahead of Call of Duty style running and
gunning, though it has to be said that some deaths can
feel a bit cheap, particularly later in the game once exploding zombies (these are however fortunately relatively rare) are thrown into the equation, whilst the more crowded fights can
feel a bit too demanding for the somewhat awkward combat on occasion.
Each of the
guns feel distinct allowing for players to kind of lean towards their own

Whilst I don't actually care (or at least think I don't) whether I unlock X or Y

gunning for our hero on a circular platform that turned in two different directions between the center and edge.
The

play feels great from the sounds to animation and has that good «meaty»
feel to it, generally satisfying to shooter and kill someone.
However each category of weapons
feels fantastic to fire, allowing you to easily pick and choose a
play style to suit you, without having to sacrifice your favourite
gun class due to mechanical imbalances.
The game looks amazingly beautiful, but I think the
gun sounds should have slightly a little more echo
feel to it; (8:40) especially in this environment, it's the little things:) either way I'm really excited to
play this!
Each
gun and kill makes me
feel like I'm back
playing the original Call of Duty games, with a fast paced

Alongside this the abrupt ending and unoiled

Now, super powerful class upgrades are spawned into the map occasionally, giving you flamethrowers or heavy machine
guns — it's a smart way of diversifying
play enough that it
feels like a thrill whenever you pick one of these up.
Everything
feels tight and precise, regardless of weapon class, and yet at the same time the various
gun types
play differently.

As I said, having a villain, for me was not the driving factor making me want to continue the game, though it
feels as though Naughty Dog was forced to add an antagonist to the game so they would have a reason to incorporate
gun play in the game.
I
feel like this was a missed opportunity to make the game standout for more than just the
gun play.
