population dynamics being «fortunately complex» — that it helps to control our
population growth by being nice to each other (in specific ways), as opposed to how we would control deer or lady bugs (or aphids) or
gypsy moths, etc. (would that change if deer reached a stage part - way between subsistence and affluence?
