Cayenne or
habanero powder can be substituted for more heat.
I only added
some habanero powder to mine to make it spicy.
I would use crushed habaneros or
habanero powder to the percentage of 1 tablespoon per cup of bird seed.
We took the liberty of adding
some habanero powder to spice it up, although it is just as good without it.
Other additives that are less intensive are
habanero powders, but you'll have to do a search on Google to find a supplier.
