This art - as - social - practice project by artist Jody Wood is
related to her staging of two events in Kingston, New York, in the winter of 2016: One, Beauty in Transition, provided beauty services, including a
hair wash, cut, color and / or style, to the homeless in the area; the other, Choreographing
Care, consisted of a series of workshops and performances that addressed issues of compassion fatigue and secondhand trauma affecting caregivers and social workers.
