If you can't find lingonberries, they can be replaced with currants, cranberries or fresh
huckleberries.
Living here in the US Pacific Northwest I think I would substitute
huckleberries since they are in the woods right now.

I'm mixing a homemade
huckleberry jam with a store - bought strawberry variety.

huckleberries, thimbleberries (my favorite!)
For breakfast the next morning Tom enjoyed
an huckleberry bear claw from the infamous Pole Bridge Merctantile that I had purchased at the farmers market the day before.
If you can't get your hands on
huckleberries, feel free to use blueberries or any seasonal berries you can find.
