of agave syrup I used honey, and instead of raw cacao I used cacao nibs and ground then up, I used Parnoosh dates as opposed to Medjool because those are what we have available and I don't know if that would make a difference.
Also the flavors of the canned tomatoes with the vinegar is to much of acidity, for me really needs a little bit
of agave, maple or sugar to compensate.

so, I just made these... I had to sub some things — I used maple syrup instead
of agave nectar, I had pecans and almonds (no walnuts)... I added some ground flax seed — these are yummy, yummy, yummy!
mine were sticky to roll too, until I clued in that if I wet my hands with water to do it, it was very easy and didn't stick to my fingers at all (i used sticky maple syrup instead

The harmful effects
of Agave (and sugar in general) actually have very little to do with the glycemic index but everything to do with the large amounts of fructose... and Agave nectar is very high in fructose.
