The photograph, which was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, shows clusters of stars forming a delicate halo that orbits the main body of NGC 5308.

It is the second fastest moving star in the sky and belongs to the galactic halo, an extended cloud of stars orbiting our galaxy.

They are scattered in a spherical halo surrounding our galaxy and they require hundreds of millions of years to orbit it.
