It
seems odd that the story of Joy Mangano, queen of home
shopping, would make for such a fascinating movie, but under the
hands of David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook) and with star Jennifer Lawrence in the titular role, the movie comes off as an inspirational, thrilling movie, with style coming out of its pores.
While pre-sale data and online polls do not necessarily dictate the industry's direction, it
seems that Sony may have the upper
hand — if only for the holiday
shopping season.
It might
seem counterintuitive or even risky to
shop for perfect choices (at least don't do it with a credit card in
hand, hahaha), but I find that weighing options is part of the creative process.
Tin, brass... you name it - I
seem to always gravitate towards them at flea markets and second
hand shops.
