I like to put a few slices
of banana, a scattering
of blueberries and
raisins, and a
handful of walnuts on the top to
make it look pretty, but this is totally optional!
I love
raisins in pasta sauce, so much in fact that since I learned
of it 5 or so years ago, nearly each time I
make pasta for dinner (monthly at a minimum) it includes a healthy
handful of raisins.
I added steamed broccoli, about 3/4 cup cooked Jasmine rice, lots
of pan-fried tofu (the recipe for how I
make mine is here), a few
handfuls of of raisins (I love
raisins in salad!)
I decided it would also
make beautiful carrot spice muffins — so I went with your original recipe and added cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg alone with a few grated carrots and a couple
of handfuls of raisins.
If you're
making the Chickpea Salad to serve on its own — you'll want to toss in a
handful of raisins.
Remove from the oven and garnish the top with a
handful of chopped walnuts and
raisins, just to
make it extra pretty.
