As a typical «docked» player, I found the
handheld mode to be done very well,
performing (to the naked eye) almost equal to the docked performance.
The game
performs well in both
handheld and docked
mode.
In
handheld mode, I found it difficult to
perform finer actions like shooting a bow.
As a whole, Disc Jam is a welcome addition to the Switch library, and it's great to see another game with cross-platform, online competitive multiplayer that
performs smoothly in both
handheld and docked
modes.
As I've mentioned in other reviews, I sometimes find the smaller buttons and joysticks on the Joy - Con to hinder my ability to
perform specific actions — Skyrim in
handheld mode was an exception to this, thankfully.
Pinball FX3 leaves some things to be desired on the technical side of things, which can only be hoped to see fixed in the near future through an update since it looks and
performs rougher than even its predecessor on the Wii U and, at least in terms of performance in
handheld mode, worse than on the 3DS.
