Speaking of trends, we're happy to report on one that has really taken hold and it is perhaps one of the best things to
happen to baby clothes and kids wear ever.

While you may dream of wearing your old
clothes as soon as the
baby is born, it's generally not going
to happen that way for many women.
If you
happen to get grease on your
clothes while cooking — and I'm sure we all have — dabbing some
baby powder on the stain can help.
One day I was doing laundry and just
happened to be washing my sons old newborn
clothes for the
baby and his little underwear in the same load.
So far I have freaked out about doubling the amount of children in our house, where the
babies are going
to sleep, cloth diapering, starting completely over with
baby clothes instead of trying
to sort through what would be usable, nursing two
babies at the same time, buying a bigger house, how I'm going
to drive four kids around (thank God we just replaced my husband's car in January with a full size SUV with a usable third row), traveling with four kids, what
happens if my husband has
to start traveling for work, getting the big kids
to and from school with two
babies in tow, how the big kids are going
to feel once there are two new
babies in the house, how I»M going
to feel with two more
babies in the house, and so on and so forth.
Don't be afraid you'll mix up your
babies if they're identical (you can always color code their
clothes to prevent this from
happening).

Although using a dryer will most likely not shrink your
baby's
clothes, you can try using the lowest heat setting
to reduce the chances of this
happening.
We also got the majority of
baby clothes as hand me downs from my best friend who also
happen to have a
baby girl and the
baby shower made a huge difference.
I bought a few things on our trip (the stores in Paris only have sales twice a year, and we
happened to be there over the winter sale) although Japan was so expensive, and although the
baby clothes there were adorable, I didn't get any.
Getting pretty excited
to wear «normal»
clothes again, though I'm fully aware it will be awhile after
baby is born before that actually
happens.
Baby Gap + Old Navy have been my go -
to's for her
clothes so far... and it just so
happens that they are running amazing sales.
