As Sony doesn't release
hardware numbers with the monthly NPD results, it's sometimes difficult to gauge the performance of the Vita.
Not sure when this chart was made, very interesting that they suspect 2017 to have
low hardware numbers considering there's a new console launch, plus 3DS sales to trickle in.
Actually December charts can tell us little until we have
semi-official hardware numbers, since in the holiday season we've had a lot of new entries of huge IPs such as Black ops, Assassin's creed, Hitman, Halo, Fifa, Far cry etc. on consoles that by now have a solid userbase, so it's not a surprise that Mario is not charting, in fact it didn't chart in November NPD top 20 either, yet Wii U has had pretty decent launch sales there.

Tomorrow is the day when Japanese software and
