So far, people
have attempted to crowdsource enough money to cover the costs of bacon, coleslaw, a vegan potato salad, a boiled egg, chicken soup, pizza, and
cheese on
toast.
What makes this one so delicious is the tangy and sweet strawberry combo piled onto simple and creamy ricotta
cheese served over that wondrous bread that
has been, you guessed it...
toasted.
I'm a bit of a traditionalist with tomatoes usually, but for a special summer gathering, I will take a thin french loaf, slice and grill it into little
toasts, put a slice of Roma tomato, Basil leaf (purple if you
have it) a thin slice of melting
cheese (mozzarella is my fav), pop into the toaster oven or broiler util browned, then top with some flaked tuna in a wasabi dressing with capers and fine dices of onion and celery.
Also I
've found it highly desirable to
toast some pine nuts and serve this dish sprinkled with shaved Parmesan
cheese and
toasted pine nuts... so yummy.
Re, fattening dishes, this is hard because people
have different ideas of what unhealthy foods are, but you can use them in grain salads, pasta salads, they might be good in an omelet or maybe on a sliced of whole - grain
toast with
cheese broiled on top (a modified pizza, heh).
The chutney looks wonderful, and I think on thick slices of
toasted bread with whipped goat
cheese would be my preferred way of eating it, too (although on pasta sounds delicious, as well).
Had them on top of
toasted bagel with garlic herb cream
cheese.
My favorite salad is the salade chevalier and it doesn't
have meat, just
toast with three kinds of
cheese, sauteed potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers.
So far we
've tossed it with some pasta, put it on some
toast, and made vegan pesto grilled
cheese.

Growing up, my mother
had a toaster oven in her kitchen but we only used it for simple tasks such as melting
cheese over french bread or browning
toast.
You know, I
've never heard it called
Toasted Cheese before.
BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwiches are full of melt in your mouth flavor, a little sweet, a little heat and sandwiched between a hearty bun that
has been
toasted with butter, garlic, and parmesan

My son is boring and
has a hard boiled egg, and one of the following carbs (waffle, cream

toast and butter) and always FRUIT.
VARIATION: if you
'd like to serve the tacos with melted

When I say fail, I mean I
have cereal for two meals and maybe some

Once you
have all the sandwiches in the skillet and assembled, turn heat up to medium (not too high, we want the bread to
toast and the
cheese to melt, if you cook too high then the
cheese will not melt before the bread burns), and let cook for 3 - 4 minutes.

has a great gluten free hamburger bun) Large heirloom or steak tomato Fresh mozzarella (Superstore, Sobeys carries fresh mozzarella or use your local

Incidentally, if you
have any leftovers (and I did, because there are only two of us and this
has a generous yield), blend up the
cheese sauce with some kale and spread it on
toast.

We
've got a bunch of gluten - free bread recipes to serve with your scrambled eggs in the morning; for a nut butter or
cheese sandwich in the afternoon; for soup dipping at night; or just for simply for any time you feel like a nice slice of
toast slathered in butter.
While the soup is simmering, add the 2 slices of baguette to the oven for 5 minutes, cut a couple slices of gruyere
cheese and queso Manchego, divide the slices of
cheese on top of the
toasted breads, season with a little dried parsley and add the slices of cheesy
toast to the oven for about 8 minutes, until the
cheese is melted and
has a lightly browned crust on top
I
've done plain, cheddar, ground flax (actually, I always add the ground flax - 3 or 4 heaping teaspoons of it, it doesn't really change the flavor too much), 5
cheese, and tomorrow's is going to be garlic & chive (to be served
toasted with cheddar on top... Mmm!).
Had my first
toasted ham and
cheese sandwich in two years.
Bake until
cheese has melted and bread is golden brown and

've been cooking up at my place: - vegetable curry (grind my own whole spices, use whatever veggies we get in our weekly CSA share; radishes / beets, eggplant, squash, greens, etc)- quick kale (sauteed with coconut oil, chili flakes, garlic, [lemon grass], soy sauce, lemon juice)- pac choi w / sauteed mushrooms «chinese» style (with fish sauce, rice wine vinegar, jalepeno / chili, soy sauce, etc)- roasted radishes w / poached eggs - «teamwork pasta» — this is your recipe for pepper and
cheese pasta, but it helps
having two sets of hands to make it in our house... we put an egg on this too of course - tuna pasta (chopped onion, garlic, lemon zest, chili flakes, tuna, olives — easily adaptable to what you already
have in the house and like)- roast chicken on friday - roasted sweet potatoes - omlets - challa french

We
have hot chicken sandwiches (Frank's hot sauce on the chicken, LOTS of bleu
cheese on
toasted whatever - bread - I -
have - on - hand, lettuce and tomato), chicken alfredo (I just add a bit of pressed garlic and pepper to the pan when the chicken is almost done, throw in some cream, let it simmer and reduce, then add a bunch of finely grated parm, asiago, pecorino romano, or whatever I
have), and then an absolute favorite: lemon pepper chicken on Greek Salad.
It slices beautifully, which makes it perfect for sandwiches; for breakfast, I
've been
toasting thin slices and piling on some cottage
cheese... delicious!
For the non-detox times when you need extra
cheese in your life version: make the
toasts with whatever bread you
have at the house.
Your scrumptious walnut bread is bringing back memories of a rustic loaf with walnuts and cranberries that I
would toast and slather with cream
cheese.

I didn't bother with the
cheese because we

'd add parsley strictly for color and maybe
