Tommy God
has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your life and confessed him as Lord. From that point he paid for your sin in full past present future. It is not sin that stops us from being with the Lord so you are saved. The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your life in the here and now satan is out to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses. If you are honest there were already issues in your life that you struggled with and never got the victory over.So where do you go from here as i found myself in the same situation i was a christian but walking according to the flesh.God does nt
change his mind he always loves us but because
of our choices we distance ourselves from God.The issue is that we like sin thats our wicked
hearts and to be fair we cant
change our nature only Christ can do that our old nature must be crucified with Christ. The stumbling block is our pride we
have to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a made a real mess
of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused. So as a brother in the Lord you need to confess your sin to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it in your strength -LCB- None
of us can -RCB- but ask him to send the holy spirit to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you to
change your life he will empower you as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look to Christ and walk in him and he will make you a new man and sin will not
have dominion over you.Jesus came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave to sin i know what it is like to
have been set free
by the power
of God and that is what Christ is offering you today. All it takes is a desire to
change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him to give you the strength to walk in him regards brentnz
Rick the more i think about it we are to live as overcomers not strugglers since the day i decided to turn away from the sin that was controlling my life i never fell back into old sinful patterns not once, was i tempted many many times. The Lord will work in our lives one area at a time he needs us to give him full control so if an area is taking control we do need to hand it to him so he can
change us.How do we do it immediately we say Lord you know i am weak but in you i am strong i leaned on him and overcame time and time again. We all
have areas
of weakness that we struggle in so do nt feel bad.Struggling is us trying to do it in our own strength before this process i was so stubborn i refused to let God help me i wanted to do it in my own strength and so it was a roller coaster ride in my christian walk if the day went well i was on a high if it did nt i
would would be down. Not any more now when things do nt go to plan i still thank the Lord and when it goes well i thank the Lord.Because i know that all things work for good to those who love the Lord. The main area he is wanting is our
hearts he wants all our
heart not only some until we come to that place we will continue to struggle in our faith. The only reason to tell you this is not to boast because
of what i
have done in myself because i
have nothing to boast about but if i did i
would brag that Christ
has empowered me
by his holy spirit to be an overcomer just as he
would want you to be.As Christians we are all called to be overcomers more than conquerers.Make a decision today to turn all your
hearts to the Lord to acknowledge the areas you are holding onto that are controlling your flesh life hand them to the Lord and walk according to the spirit and not the flesh and he will give you the victory. That can be a reality starting today merry christmas everyone and may the new year be an exciting one as we put all our trust in Christ our Lord and savior.Brentnz
God is a God
of forgiveness, if he wanted to «torture» us for disobedience, we
'd ALL already be burning in hell... What he wants is for us to
change our
hearts and repent, and if you do that, then
by default, you will do the right things (not all the times, but when you do the wrong thing, you will repent again as his Spirit shows you you are doing the wrong thing.
Tim i found it liberating to just do what the Lord wants you to do i work within his boundarys and yes i attend church and enjoy it.I love the people and i love hearing the word and worshipping the Lord even if others are still bound up with traditions thats not my walk thats theres. My focus is to do what the Lord wants me to do.There
have been times i
have said no to the pastor he does nt understand why i choose not to lead the worship.i query him as well regarding the idea that its not just performing a function because there is a need our
hearts have to be in the right place so that the Lord can use us but he did nt understand where i was coming from and thats okay because
of that i just said no until my
heart is right i am better not being involved in leading. But i am happy to be an encouragement to others in the worship team i havent wanted to be the leader i
have done that in the past.So my focus
has been just the singing and being part
of different worship teams i think the Lord
has other plans as the groups i am in seem to be
changing at the same time i am aware that i do nt to worry about
change as the Lord knows whats best.I used to be quite comfortable leading the music but that was before when i was operating in my own self confidence and pride. The Lord did such a huge
change in my life that i lost my self confidence and that is not a bad thing at all as my spiritual growth
has been incredible.The big
change was my identity moved from me and what i could do to knowing who i was in Christ and that he is my strength and confidence. Now i know that without him i can do nothing in fact i am dependent on his empowerment through his holy spirit all the time in everything. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music at another church i attend multiple churchs although i attend two regularly one
has services in the morning and one
has services in the evening so the two do nt really clash. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music its been two years since i did that and i was worried on how i
would go.All i can say is that it went really well and because i stepped out in Faith the Lord really blessed the morning to the congregation. The difference is knowing that i serve the Lord with the gifts he
has given me but my
heart has to be right and when i do it in his way it builds up the body and it brings glory to him.May the Lord continue to show you what he wants you to do even though others may not understand your reasons i just want you to know that you do nt
have to pull away completely just work within the boundarys that the Lord gives you and do nt feel pressured
by others expectations to do anything that feel uncomfortable.Be involved just as you feel lead
by the holy spirit even if it is in a very minor way take small steps.regards brentnz
Jeremy
have been asking the holy spirit for his help with this and in regards to the lame man that Jesus healed I do nt believe that sin was the issue for him just like the blind man was it his parents or did he sin the answer was neither but so that God
would be glorified. What was the sin that may
have been worse for him.The two situations are related
of the woman caught in adultery the key words being go and sin no more only two references in the bible and will explain later the lame man we see at first his dependency on everyone else for his needs he cant do it he is in the best position to receive Gods grace but what does he do with it.Does he follow Jesus no we are told he goes to the temple and Jesus finds him now that he
has his strength to do things on his own what his response to follow the way
of the pharisees that is what is worse than his condition before so he is warned
by go and sin no more.We get confused because we see the word sin but the giver
of is speaking to him to go another way means death.Getting back to the two situations
of the woman caught in adultery and the lame man here we see a picture
of our
hearts on the one our love for sin and on the other the desire to work out our salvation on our terms they are the two areas we
have to submit to God.My experience was the self righteousness was the harder to deal with because it is linked in to our feelings
of self worth and self confidence so we
have to be broken so we are humble enough to realise that without God we can do nothing our flesh hates that so it is a struggle at first to
change our way
of thinking.brentnz
Keith the verse go and sin no more is a choice the choice is the giver
of life Jesus or go and sin no more
change the word sin for death. Its our
hearts it chooses to sin because it likes to sin thats our nature and the word is clear that our
hearts are deceitfully wicked. How do we overcome
by admitting our weakness and asking the holy spirit to help us.That is how i
have been able to break sins over my life personally i am powerless in the flesh and i freely admit that but i
have the spirit
of God at work in my life who is able to raise me above my weakness in him.He empowers us to do that so when you feel weak tell the Lord and ask the holy spirit to help you.The more you rely on the holy spirit the more you walk in the spirit and the less influence sin
has over you.brentnz
I
have had a
change of heart on this and i believe that jesus means what he says for us to go and sin no more. Why because the women caught in adultery is us it is a universal message for us sinners judged and condemned
by the law if we do nt want to be under the law then the only way is to follow jesus but not according to the flesh but according to the spirit.Because if we walk in the spirit we will not gratify the desires
of the flesh.Which means we will not sin that sums up the message once
having been saved
by jesus we follow him and walk
by the spirit the message is clear and he provides the means for us to do it through his holy spirit. For sin shall not
have dominion over us we are more than conquerers overcomers through Jesus Christ.
The only one who can not is Lucifer because he do not want to, God
heart is not made
of iron, if there are evil people alive in this world it is only because God want them to repent to, there are most evil people who as a children or teenager was sweet but because
of another being became evil, Only God know what it did make them
change or their pain but only one things is sure as God he did
have the first seat to see all their pain and live, and to my point
of view as a Father it is
by no means lesser than the pain he did feel for them or them victimes, like a electric chair.

Although I
've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to get played
by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion
of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger
has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to get much worse before they get better... why
would they... many
have spent a considerable sum buying some
of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to
have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many
of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack
of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly
of themselves... many might not even
of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they
would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but
of course it will be too late
by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering
of anarchy, it scares the shit out
of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those who really perpetrated this act
of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments
have gotten more vile in recent years is out
of utter frustration... in order for any real
change to occur at this club we need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead
of the
heart for now
Chuba can be a strike partner with Oliver, then bring in Mehrez or Draxler, and we can also bid for Barca's Munir then we can
have a great season, our pre-season last year was better than this, only to got beaten
by west harm, so don't raise your hope high gunners, just be patient and pray for wenger to
have a
change of heart.
I just don t get how some here are happy with ramsey playing as RW.The lad is good, he
has heart but he is not a RW.Welbeck and Walcot are and we are more dangerous when they play in this position.I fear Wenger will never
change and will always try to accomodate his favourites in the team.Today Ozil was useless, replace him
by Welbeck and shift Ramsey in the middle, but no it
has to be a non favourite Coquelin who bring more than any
of them.I doubt Arsenal will win any PL title with Maureeno in charge
of Chelshi as he is quite more astute on tactic than Wenger.Oh boy, you may always say runner up is not that bad.....
Like yesterday was as low as it gets for me as fan I didn't even care when Liverpool got 3 rd and fourth goals because we're dead our pride as fans is same as players we're just dead hurt, sad, weak and spineless then it gets better ox is going Chelsea today and now timers sanchez
