I have not yet seen an explanation on how Peter and the apostles could
have eternal life without believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus, but how today we must believe it.

Without a Triune God there
would be no understanding of people

For if those with faith come up short we
have lost nothing for we were happy in hoping for
eternal life, but if those
without faith come up short then they
have to face the reality that they rejected God and they missed out on the greatest opportunity, plus they probably were never truly happy in this
life.
What religion offers: — The opportunity to avoid
eternal punishment for not worshiping / believing in my god (not worried enough to care)-- An explanation for the universe and why we are here (I'll take the knowledge gained from the application of the scientific method, but thanks)--
Living forever in heavenly bliss (I am content with this
life)-- The opportunity to divide humanity based upon different belief systems (There is enough dividing us already)-- Purpose, a code of ethics, and fulfillment (I
have that already,
without religion)-- Develop a personal relationship with god (I
've never seen or heard from any gods nor
have I seen any independantly verified scientifically collected peer reviewed proof.

He gave you the gift of
life and an
eternal soul - you
have a choice on this earth how to
live your
life and that will be how you will also spend eternity — with God or
without Him.
All who are born again
have freely responded to God's drawing and
have trusted in Christ and Him alone for

have never felt freer when I realized there was no
eternal judgement and I could lead a full moral
life without hobbling through
life with some supernatural crutch to make me feel good about myself.

If there were no
eternal life, this
life of time
would be
without meaning, goal, or purpose,

I agree that many
have believed in Jesus for
eternal life without being able to properly explain it or use the «right» words.
Gil if we only received one blessing in this
life and that was
eternal life in Jesus Christ that alone
would be enough but we are blessed way more than that because we
have been sent his holy spirit to help us overcome our old nature.He never leaves us nor forsakes us whether good or bad happens he strengthens us in our weakness.It says in the bible that the rain falls on both the righteous or the wicked God is fair to all whether they deserve it or not he can not be anything else than a holy righteous loving and fair God.I do nt need to convince you to believe about God he will reveal himself to you if you are seeking the truth as he is the truth.I do nt try and make others believe its pointless.I know

Nonetheless, I wonder now if I stepped into
eternal life without knowing it — by doing, however grudgingly, what
had to be done.
We admit we were once lost
without hope in darkness and sin, and only by the crucified, dead, buried, and resurrected
life of Jesus Christ
have we been given light, a new,
eternal life, new hope, and the righteous way to
live.
Yet millions of children
have believed in Jesus for
eternal life without knowing much about the identity of Jesus.
I think we will
have the power of Choice when we meet our
Eternal future; but that Choice will only come when we
have seen the Truth presented
without the filter of this very badly - filtered
life.
Without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there
would be no biblical gospel, no offer of
eternal life, no hope of heaven, and no forgiveness of sins.
