My son has a wheat and rice allergy (among other things) and everything I've found that's gf has rice flour in it.
I wasn't worried about flour, except I decided to use gluten free (not from need, but I had some rice flour on hand).

I made a vegan version,, but had no almond flour so used Millett flour and brown rice flour as a substitute.
You could try using brown rice flour or double the almond flour instead, although I've not tried this myself before.
Hi Kelly, I just used buckwheat flour but you could use brown rice or whatever other gluten - free grain flour you have kicking about and yes the crust could definitely be used for other fruit (or chocolate!)
Sadly I've never made brown rice flour before but I often buy it from Whole Foods, my local health food store or online at Amazon.

I used brown rice flour, and instead of agave syrup I used honey, and instead of raw cacao I used cacao nibs and ground then up, I used Parnoosh dates as opposed to Medjool because those are what we have available and I don't know if that would make a difference.

Yes I think oat flour would be great, I know it woulds with buckwheat / coconut / brown rice and spelt so I really think oats would be great!

I used brown rice flour for these and they taste really good although I cooked mine for 50 minutes and they still weren't fully cooked on the inside, but I think I have a bad oven or something lol because baking recipes I try never come out how they are supposed to
