Actually, I have lots
of hazlenut meal on hand at the moment.
* To make your own
hazlenut butter, toast hazelnuts on a cookie sheet in a 400 degrees oven for about 10 minutes.
for example: - pumpkin pie (use canned pumpkin / apple pie spice / nutmeg + almond, dates)- tiramisu (use instant coffee / full fat cream cheese + cashew, dates)- keylime (almond butter + lime zest
+ hazlenut + dates)- carrot cake (shredded carrot, dates, almond, cloves, cinnamon)
Line the bottom of a 8 inch / 20 cm spring pan with parchment paper and pour the date and
hazlenut mixture into it.
My sister puts a tablespoon in milk and puts it in the microwave for a minute for
instant hazlenut hot chocolate.
i made this paste by soaking in strong black coffee, then processed with
pre-soaked hazlenuts (filberts), a little vanilla.
