While I don't shy away from
eating flour / gluten - containing
foods, I do find that I get
headaches sometimes
after I
eat bread now and I'm wondering if the gluten is part of the reason?
After carefully reviewing my
food journal again, digging around on PubMed, and sifting through all the lists of
foods high in salicylic & benzoic acid (which really make you feel like you can't
eat anything, by the way), my diet just seemed too low in both of these to be provoking
headaches.
In the past I always noticed that I had
headaches and stomaches
after eating bread and pasta so I usually avoided these
foods.
Now you get to experiment on yourself, if you tolerate (meaning,
after eating foods, you have no runny nose, gas, bloating, burping, acid indigestion, constipation or diarrhea,
headache, muscle or joint aches) you may occasionally
eat some of the non-gluten grains.
While these feelings are often very minor, other people feel downright ill
after eating dairy
foods —
headaches, nausea, skin rashes and others — clear indications that the
food should strictly be avoided.

eating any of the potential
food allergens, nearly half of the participants with fibromyalgia reported significant reduction of pain, and 76 % reported a reduction in other symptoms such as fatigue,
headache, bloating, heartburn or breathing difficulties.
If you notice feeling bloated or gassy

headache after eating sugar, or any number of other responses you'll start to realize the connection between specific
foods and how you feel.
Once, years ago, one letter written by a doctor to the New England Journal of Medicine in 1968 caused a sort of anti MSG hysteria, attributing it mainly to a
headache the doctor had
after eating some
food that contained the substance.
