Every serving is chock full
of all the necessary vitamins and minerals you and your loved ones need to
start — and finish — the
day feeling
healthy.
Although there are many answers to that question, this is a great example
of a
healthy, balanced breakfast and is one
of my favorites because it's filling, tasty and I get a serving
of vegetables in at the
start of the
day!
This is another
of my favorite oatmeal recipes because it reminds me
of carrot cake, is full
of hidden veg and fruits, and is a tremendously
healthy way to
start the
day.
This particular breakfast scramble takes a bit
of more time to make (about twenty minutes) but having a
healthy start to the
day is worth it.
When you
start the
day with one
healthy habit, for some reason it's a lot easier to make
healthier choices for the rest
of the
day, too.
One
of our goals is also to show how porridge can be eaten all through the
day: as a raw version to
start the
day feeling energized, as a super nourishing savory lunch or dinner, a
healthy & wholesome sweet snack and also as a melt - in - your - mouth dessert.

Full disclosure — I would probably turn down a piece
of cake stacked with frosting, not because I wouldn't want to eat it, but because I would be trying to make
healthy choices to get my
day started — I know, LAME... but I wouldn't turn down this cake for breakfast.
They aren't always good for us though, so a lot
of people have cut them out
of their diets in an attempt to
start their
day with a
healthier food option.
I still love the classic pink berry smoothie, but sometimes I simply crave something less sweet and something which gives me the feeling
of being super
healthy, and
starting the
day by drinking vegetables is a pretty good way to go!

of hearty multigrain bread, nuts / seeds, eggs, almond milk, and apples provides the perfect mix
of complex carbs, fiber, protein,
