Readers do nt seem to be their main target market.
And while frequent - flier questions aren't always the same types of things I'd ask an author — I'd rather
hear what earned her the most time - outs as a kid than where her ideas come
from (mostly because I'm pretty sure we all snag ideas the same way,
from that guy on the corner selling them out of his van)-- I guess I can understand the curiosity of a
reader, a bookstore patron... or a stranger I've cornered at a party who I'm pretending is my number one fan.
But it appears its beta
readers culled
from their mailing lists so it's basically their fans which more than likely just tell them
what they want to
hear: love it.
