Faith comes from hearing the Word of God.
We actually trust that the Word of God will change hearts and bring people to a living faith in Christ the Savior, through the hearing of the gospel.

I would also propose that God is not a Christian, and that reading or hearing Bible sentences is not a requirement of «salvation» — lest we reduce the cross to mere words.
