I get upset when
I hear about moms who are in your situation — getting a «maybe» diagnosis and nothing more.
If you are breastfeeding, you have probably
heard about moms who've had to deal with a low milk supply and those who have an oversupply.
We also often
hear about moms who end up hurting their babies and / or themselves as a result of PPD.
By now I'm sure everyone has
heard about the mom who breastfed her baby while she was doing the dirty.

hear what
moms who read those magazines they are talking
about will think of this campaign...
Not really related to our topic, but, you know, we
hear a lot in the media
about Facebook, and especially
moms who are very proud to be breastfeeding
moms and
moms posting photos, and this content being taken down.

mom of a 3 month old, worried
about the upcoming «regression».
There is nothing like turning on the nightly news to
hear about a pregnant woman
who gave birth on the side of the road en route to the hospital, or a
mom to be
who gave birth just outside the hospital.
Perhaps she is, perhaps she isn't; but however she feels
about going back to work, this is not a question that a new
mom (
who is battling with raging hormones, BTW) wants to
hear or is prepared to answer.
Mom 2: I had
heard from everybody
who ever told me
about Pitocin that it was not fun.
Think
about the
moms going through IVF
who are patiently wait to
hear the words «you're pregnant»!
No
mom who is having trouble with breastfeeding wants to
hear about what a walk in the park it was for you.
Did you
hear about the kid
who charged thousands in App Store purchases on
mom's phone while she thought he was playing Monkey Preschool Lunchbox?
I
hear a lot of
moms who worry
about having to purchase newborn sized diapers and covers and then larger ones again a few months or weeks (depending on baby) later.
Everyone has
heard a story
about a
mom who lifted a fridge up off of her toddler or fought off a bear or some other example of super human strength in a time of crisis, right?
But lately I am
hearing stories
about moms who put off their need for sleep long enough to really feel like they are having a breakdown.

In fact, you never really see or
hear about the nanny at all — even from ordinary working
moms who employ them.

Anytime my kids
hear about a friend's
mom or dad
who's lost a job, they tell them to call me.
On the other hand, it should be noted that there are females
who are required to pay child support, but we have yet to
hear about «Deadbeat
Moms.»

who gets up on the roof of our house to help put up Christmas lights (and eat pizza up there — what is it with teens eating pizza in strange places?!?), I
hear you
