Throughout my four years of being the proud cat mom I am, I had never
heard of a raw food diet... until recently on a visit to The Happy Beast!
I have
heard of a raw food diet for dogs which can be kept in the freezer.

When people
hear about
raw foods, they usually think that it's all to do with eating a few salad leaves with some sticks
of carrot and so is a dull and tasteless diet.
Despite what you'll
hear from extreme vegans, extreme
raw foodists, and other believers in «extreme» types
of diets that eliminate entire portions
of the historical human diet, the human digestive system evolved to eat a mixture
of plants and animal
foods (yes, we evolved as omnivores), as well as a mixture
of raw food AND cooked
food.
I have never
heard either
of them support or really discuss eating a high volume
of raw or live
foods, sprouting, etc..
BARF Diet For those
of you that haven't
heard of this term, the BARF diet stands for «bones and
raw food diet».
I recently just started my 7 yr old Gordon Setter mix on the
raw diet, haven't had any problems with runny stool, my trainer / boss introduced me to
raw I had never
heard of it before, she gave me a chicken back to try, told me not to feed him for 24 hrs to get the dry
food out
of his system and that would decrease the chances
of diarrhea.
